Foundations of Vocational and Spiritual Discernment Coaching for Youth
Guiding young people to navigate their path in life is both a privilege and a responsibility. My approach to vocational and spiritual discernment coaching for youth aged 12 to 24 is grounded in Sacred Listening, value-driven connection, and holistic growth, where the youth is the expert in their life.
At the heart of this work is listening deeply—to each youth’s unique story, dreams, and challenges. Together, we co-create a safe, nonjudgmental space where young people can explore their identity, values, and unique calling without pressure or expectation.
I draw from a blend of contemplative practices, faith formation or youth development models, and practical guidance to embolden youth to connect their inner wisdom with real-world decisions. This includes reflection exercises, dialogue, and tools that illuminate their strengths and possibilities—while remaining rooted in today with grounding routines and contemplative practices.
Vocational discernment isn’t simply about career choices—it’s about discovering meaningful ways to connect with self-interests, opportunities for growth, and pathways that align with the person's unique values and beliefs. Spiritual discernment invites youth to engage with their faith, ethics, and purpose in ways that feel authentic and empowering.
By integrating identity, life experience, and education, I support youth in making decisions that honor their whole selves—mind, heart, and spirit—setting a foundation for lifelong growth and fulfillment.
